Kirk Franklin’s latest gospel album, , is a wide-ranging offering of Franklin’s musical interests, including his signature sense of humor. The title track, “Hello Fear,” is a breakup song with Fear, which he is dumping in favor of Grace. Another highlight is “I Am,” a soulful, choir-driven song that perfectly describes the situation of every person standing in the grace of Christ: “Not here by mistake / No luck, only grace / I’m on my way to / Who I am.” Great for singing along in the car—loudly.
