Shashi DeHaan (left) and Rev. Andrew Woja Henry served Synod 2009 as ethnic advisers. Ethnic advisers serve Synod unless there are least 25 delegates from ethnic-minority backgrounds. In 2009, that number reached 24, so only two ethnic advisers were appointed.
